Tad currently serves as President of the IMHR EpiCenter Board of Directors.
Tad Gary also serves as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Mercy Maricopa Integrated Care (Mercy Maricopa), the Regional Behavioral Health Authority in Maricopa County. He is responsible for call center operations, grievances and appeals, as well as clinical program development and oversight of multiple large service delivery systems. Additional responsibilities include integrated care programming development and oversight, strategies to address social determinants of health, cultural affairs, Tribal relationships, and Court Services.
Tad serves on the Maricopa County Juvenile Justice Steering Committee, and is on the
Valley of the Sun United Way Ending Homelessness Advisory Council. Tad is Past-President of the Arizona Counselors Association, and has held committee positions with various other organizations.
Tad has worked in public behavioral health for 20 years and has held multiple leadership roles, as well as directly providing counseling and psychosocial rehabilitation services.
Tad earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology and has masters’ degrees in Counseling and Special Education. Tad also completed executive education in finance and accounting from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Tad is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the State of Arizona and a nationally certified rehabilitation counselor.
Tad grew up in Southern California. He enjoys traveling with family and friends, reading a great novel, spending time working out at the gym and is now an active tennis player.
