Presiding Judge for the Town of Gilbert’s Municipal Court, John Hudson has been a member of PSA Epicenter’s Board of Directors since November 2016. Appointed to Gilbert’s top judicial position in July 2012, he presides over the Court’s jurisdiction of low-level criminal and traffic offenses. Judge Hudson also administers Maricopa County’s Teen Court, a diversion program that shares facilities with the Municipal Court and works to impose constructive consequences aimed at positively changing behavior by having young people appear before a jury of their peers.
Before becoming Presiding Judge for the Gilbert court, he served as an associate judge for the town in 2002. He also served as Deputy County Attorney for Maricopa and La Paz counties and was the Deputy Town Attorney for Paradise Valley.
Judge Hudson is a 1993 graduate of the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Arizona State University in 1990.
